We are seeking Carpenter Assistants

 

We are looking for driven individuals to join our team and are eager to work and learn while representing themselves at Lehmann Construction & Design, LLC. Applicants must possess good communication skills, mechanical skills, and the ability to work individually or in a team. Know how to use basic hand tools such as hammers, saws, nails, tape measures and screwdrivers; must have your own set of basic tools. A clean driving record and reliable transportation is a must. Work is completed Monday through Friday, on rare occasion weekends. Carpenter Assistants are considered subcontractors and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. We perform a simple background check on all those that apply. Rate of pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour.

 

Duties include but not limited to:
● Using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment
● They also clean work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site
● Fasten timbers or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware
● Perform tie spacing layout and measure, mark, drill or cut
● Select tools, equipment, or materials from storage and transport items to work site
● Drill holes in timbers or lumber
● Cut timbers, lumber, or paneling to specified dimensions
● Position and hold timbers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting
